If we look at the trajectories of the athletic Karim Benzema and Jean Paul GAULTIER, we can see many similarities such as their atypical career, their extraordinary social ascension and their ability to crystallize passions. These two prodigies are today true ambassadors of French culture internationally, and continue to inspire through their successes and strokes of genius.
Collaborating with Karim Benzema is an opportunity to pay tribute to a new generation of virtuosos who express themselves in a daring way, and do not hesitate to break away from conventions to shake up the status quo and achieve their goals.
It is in this spirit that the company asked Karim Benzema to participate in the conception of this reissue of the 56-6106, himself being an avid collector of vintage glasses. This flagship model of the 90s, worn by icons such as 2Pac, was selected from the brand’s archives by KB9, who will become the face of the brand during a video campaign produced by Original Kids.
