At Loyalty Plus, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles information when you use it in connection with your Shopify store.
1. Information We Collect
Loyalty Plus is a loyalty-program app. To run the program in your store, it processes a limited set of data:
Customer identifier — the Shopify customer ID of each customer who places an order, used to credit loyalty points and assign a tier.
Loyalty state — each customer's points balance, loyalty tier, and the date of their last tier upgrade.
Order total — the total amount of each order, used solely to calculate the points it earns.
Customer name and email — stored only as a label on the loyalty-history log so the merchant can recognise which customer each points movement belongs to.
We do not collect or process payment details, addresses, phone numbers, or any other sensitive personal information.
2. How We Use Your Data
Data accessed by Loyalty Plus is used solely to operate the loyalty program in your store: crediting points, calculating and adjusting tiers, scheduling anniversary tier changes, showing each customer their own rewards, and giving the merchant a history of loyalty activity.
We do not profile or track customers beyond the loyalty calculations described above.
We do not sell your information.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Loyalty Plus runs on secure cloud infrastructure — application hosting and a managed database — that processes data only on our behalf and under our instructions to operate the app. We do not share your data with any other third party.
4. Data Storage and Security
To run the loyalty program, Loyalty Plus stores each customer's loyalty state (points, tier, last-upgrade date) and a history of loyalty activity in its own secure database, which is the authoritative record of the program. A read-only copy of each customer's points and tier is also written back into your Shopify store as app-owned metafields.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
We process only the data necessary to run the loyalty program.
We follow industry-standard practices to keep stored data secure.
5. Data Retention and Your Rights
As the merchant, you retain full control over your store's data.
You may uninstall the app at any time. When you do, Loyalty Plus loses access to your store and your store's loyalty data is deleted shortly afterwards.
We honour Shopify's data-privacy requests: on a customer redaction request we delete that customer's loyalty data, and on a shop redaction request we delete all of your store's loyalty data.
On a customer data request, we provide the loyalty data we hold about that customer so you can fulfil their access request.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for compliance reasons. Any updates will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
